Summermood
Are you also looking forward to summer? I can't wait for the sun rays to warm up again and we can enjoy the beautiful flowers, the buzzing bees & bumblebees and the beautiful butterflies in our garden. Summer time starts this weekend (in the Netherlands) so the first step towards summer has been taken again.
Beautiful Hibiscus flower
Talk about beautiful summer flowers. This beautiful Hibiscus bloomed beautifully in my garden last year. I was enjoying my garden and I noticed that the sunlight fell beautifully on this Hibiscus flower. The sunlight fell gently on the flower and by catching the light at a certain angle I got a beautiful bokeh in the background. Of course I immediately grabbed my camera, because I couldn't let this summery picture go.

Hibiscus
Zin in de zomer
Ik kan niet wachten tot de zonnestralen weer warmer worden en we in onze tuin kunnen genieten van de mooie bloemen, de zoemende bijen & hommels en de prachtige vlinders. Dit weekend begint de zomertijd (in Nederland) dus de eerste stap naar de zomer is weer genomen .
Kleurige Hibiscus bloem
Over mooi zomerbloemen gesproken. Deze prachtige Hibiscus bloeide vorig jaar super mooi in mijn tuin. Ik zat heerlijk in mijn eigen tuin te genieten en het viel me op dat het zonlicht prachtig op deze Hibiscus bloem viel. Het zonlicht viel zachtjes op de bloem en doormiddel van het licht in een bepaalde hoek op te vangen kreeg ik een prachtige bokeh op de achtergrond. Uiteraard heb ik meteen mijn camera gepakt, want dit zomers plaatje mocht ik niet laten gaan.

Guardian Angel
A guardian angel we could all use right now. I encountered this angel years ago in one of the many beautiful churches in Rome, Italy. I walked around the beautiful church and I had the feeling that I was being looked at. I followed that feeling and looked up high. There this little angel looked right at me! So beautiful, I was immediately touched by this guardian angel.
This guardian angel has been hanging in our hall ever since. And I keep looking at it. Of course I also grant you the protection of this angel. I hope you are as enchanted as I am by his sweet look.

Beschermengel
Een beschermengel die kunnen we op dit moment allemaal wel gebruiken. Dit engeltje ben ik jaren geleden tegen gekomen in één van de vele mooie kerken in Rome, Italië. Ik liep rond in de prachtige kerk en ik had het gevoel dat ik aangekeken werd. Ik volgde dat gevoel en keek op hoog. Daar keek deze kleine engel me recht aan! Zo mooi, ik werd direct geraakt door dit beschermengeltje.
Sindsdien hangt deze beschermengel in onze hal. En ik blijf er naar kijken. Uiteraard gun ik jullie de bescherming van deze engel ook. Ik hoop dat jullie net zo als ik betoverd zijn door zijn lieve blik.

End of the tunnel
We all have this feeling right now. When can we go again....
Cuddling with our loved ones, our dear children when can they go back to school, going out with your family, going out for dinner with your friends and so on. We all miss this so much.
This photo kind of reflects that feeling. Is the light visible at the end? Are we almost there yet? Years ago this photo was taken somewhere in the Netherlands, to be honest I don't remember where it was. But the environment grabbed me. The raw feeling of the black, loneliness and mystery. Do you feel it too?

Einde van tunnel
Dit gevoel hebben we momenteel allemaal wel. Wanneer mogen we weer....
Knuffelen met onze dierbare, onze lieve kinderen die weer naar school mogen, gezellig erop uit met je familie, stappen en uit eten gaan met je vrienden en ga zo maar door. We missen dit allemaal zo.
Deze foto geeft dat gevoel een beetje weer. Is het licht aan het eind al zichtbaar? Zijn we er al bijna? Jaren geleden maakte ik deze foto ergens in Nederland, eerlijk gezegd ik weet niet meer waar het was. Maar de omgeving pakte me. Het rauwe gevoel van het zwarte, eenzaamheid en de mysterie.
